Beat Licensing Terms

Last updated: Pending launch

These terms cover beats (instrumentals) you get from Audio House. Audio House (SOS Productions, LLC) owns the beats. When you get one, you receive a license to use it; you don’t own the beat itself. Your license depends on the tier you choose.

The license tiers

Free beats. Some beats are free to use. You may record your own song over them and release it. Audio House keeps ownership and may offer the same beat to others.

Shared license (paid). A non-exclusive license to record your song over the beat and release it on streaming and stores. Audio House keeps ownership and may license the same beat to other people.

Shared + Stems. Everything in Shared, plus the stems (the separate track files that make up the beat), so you have more control when you record and finish your song. Still non-exclusive.

Exclusive license. The beat is taken off sale and licensed exclusively to you going forward. You get broad rights to use and release your song. Audio House stops selling that beat to anyone new. Any licenses already sold before your purchase stay valid.

What applies to every tier

  • You must follow these terms and our Terms of Use.
  • You can’t resell, redistribute, or relicense the beat itself, or claim you created it. Your license is to make and release your own song over it.
  • Don’t use beats for anything illegal, hateful, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Audio House owns all beats and stems and reserves every right not granted to you here.

Payments and refunds

Beat purchases are processed by our payment providers. Because a license is delivered immediately, beat purchases are non-refundable once delivered, except where required by law.
