Most songs cost between $40 and $145. Here's what decides which.
Most songs cost between $40 and $145 to record at Audio House. The price comes down to one thing: how long you need the room. Studio time starts at $20 an hour and drops as low as $14 when you book longer sessions. Recording vocals over a beat usually takes about two hours, so around $40. A singer with a guitar is closer to three. A full band needs six to eight, when every instrument is recorded separately. Your first hour is free, so a first song is often only $20.

You pay for time, not per song
There is no per-song price, and no package you have to fit into. You book hours, you use them, and that is the bill. A short song and a long one cost the same if they take the same time.
That matters more than it sounds. It means the way to spend less is to arrive prepared and ready.
The rate drops the more you book

You buy the exact number of hours you want. The rate is set by the band those hours fall into, so booking five hours costs $90, not $100.
Sometimes booking one more hour costs the same or less than the number you had in mind. When that happens, the booking page tells you.

If it is your first time, add an hour. Nearly everyone spends the first part of their first session getting comfortable and learning the space. That is time well spent.

There are no separate fees. No engineer charge, no mixing charge, no booking fee, no mandatory monthly subscription.
There is no engineer, and that is the point. You run the session yourself and the screen walks you through it. That is why an hour costs only $20 instead of the Utah average of $85/hour.
How that compares
Most recording studios in Utah charge between $50 and $150 an hour, and that usually includes an engineer running the session for you. If you want someone else at the controls, Utah has many amazing traditional recording studios.
