How to record your first song, even if you've never done it
No experience? No problem. Here's exactly how it goes.
If you’ve never recorded before, this is for you. No audio knowledge, no gear, no engineer. The studio does the hard part.
- Get ready Step 1
- Walk in Step 2
- Record Step 3
- Polished for you Step 4
- Share it Step 5
Before you come
Know your song. If you’re recording over a beat, open the Audio House app — on your phone or computer — and upload it to your Audio Library first, so it’s ready when you sit down. (Here’s how to bring your own beat.) No beat? Hundreds of free ones are in the app.
Then book a time in the app. Your first hour is free.
When you arrive
Open the app and tap unlock to open the door, then walk in. Everything is set up and waiting. The screen walks you through each step.
Record
Sit down and press record. Take as many takes as you want. Nobody’s watching, and nothing’s on the clock but you. Most people find their groove after a try or two.
Finishing
When you’re done, your recording is balanced and polished for you, so it sounds clean and professional, at the volume you hear on Spotify. It’s saved to your account in the app, ready to download.
Then it’s yours
From the Audio House app, share it, post it, or send it to someone who should hear it. You made that.
We built Audio House so anyone can do this on their first try. Come see.
