What to expect at a self-serve studio

A session at Audio House is one private room that you run yourself. There is no engineer, no producer, and no staff in the room with you. Everything is already set up: professional microphones, a MIDI keyboard, and software that walks you through recording step by step. There is no engineer

This is the most important thing to know. Utah has many amazing traditional recording studios where a trained engineer sits with you, shapes the sound, and guides every decision. Audio House is a different experience entirely.

Here, you are in complete control. The software handles the technical side automatically, so you do not need to an engineer. Nobody is going to adjust your levels mid-take, suggest a different approach, or tell you the chorus needs another pass. You make every call. The recording sounds the way you want it to sound, not the way someone else thinks it should.

If you arrive expecting a collaborator in the room, you will be disappointed. If you arrive ready to be in charge, you will have one of the most freeing creative experiences you can find. A studio where you can be in control, with tools that make it easy to get what you want.

It is one room

Each Audio House location is a single private room. Comfortable seating for 3 people, no separate vocal booth you have to move between, no reception desk. You book the room, the room is yours for that time, and then it gets ready for the next person.

That privacy is real. Nobody is watching through glass. Nobody is listening from another room. It is just you, and whoever you bring with you. Many people tell us that is the whole reason they come: a quiet, private space to perform without feeling scrutinised, where a rough take stays between you and the room. Just a comfortable place to create.

No rush is not just a slogan

At a traditional studio, the clock runs at a rate that makes every stumbled line feel expensive. Here, the first hour is free, and time beyond that runs at $20 an hour, dropping lower as you book more. Because the rate is low and the room is private, there is no meter-anxiety. You can stop, breathe, try the verse a different way, and go again.

Getting something wrong and going again is not wasted time. It is how a recording gets perfected. The no-rush environment is what makes that possible.

You do not need to bring equipment. The room has:
